What is Monovision?
Monovision is a situation where one eye (usually the dominant eye) is corrected for distance, and the other eye is corrected for reading. This is often done with the use of contact lenses. This allows people with presbyopia, to have vision at distance and at near. Those who use Monovision prior to Laser Vision Correction, have their eyes corrected in the same manner, so they will continue to have both distance and near vision. For those who are over 40 and interested in monovision, we recommend a trial fit with contact lenses. This gives you different options in the choice of vision you find Comfortable, and also fits your personal needs.
